Bark In The Park Event At Assateague Island Planned For May 17th

ASSATEAGUE ISLAND, Md. - A local national park, is hosting a dog friendly event, to raise awareness for pet safety.

On Saturday, May 17th, the Assateague Island Alliance, will be holding Bark in the Park, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The event will take place in the parking lot of the Assateague Island Environmental Education Center (old Visitor Center).

AIA will have tons of free activities for both dogs, and their owners, to raise awareness for pet safety amongst the wildlife of Assateague Island National Seashore. The event will feature a dog parade across Verrazano Bridge starting at 11:00 AM, with prizes for best costume, best group costume, and best dog/owner look alike. There will also be an agility course, adoptable pets, demonstrations, and snacks!
