SALISBURY, Md. - A Wicomico County student accused of raping another in a school hallway earlier this week has been released on bond after being arrested on a firearm charge.

The Wicomico Bureau of Investigations says on Thursday, around 11:00 AM, the Wicomico Sheriffs' Office and the Maryland State Apprehension Team arrested 17-year-old Jocori Scarborough on an outstanding arrest warrant. The arrest stems from evidence found during a search and seizure warrant at Scarborough's home on South Maryland Avenue, in Delmar, on May 6th.

Police say Scarborough was arrested without incident. He has been charged with possession of a firearm by a minor. Scarborough was arrested on Tuesday, after a 15-year-old female student reported being raped by him in a Parkside High School hallway, on Monday morning.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Wicomico Bureau of Investigations at 410-548-4898 or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
