ST. MICHAELS, Md. - A house fire that reportedly displaced four residents in St. Michaels, has been ruled accidental.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's says the fire started around 5:25 PM, on the kitchen stove of the single story Dodson Avenue home. The blaze, which was discovered by the occupant, reportedly took 30 firefighters from four area departments, a half an hour to control.

Damages are estimated to total $140,000. There were no injuries reported, and smoke alarms were apparently present.

Officials ruled the cause of the fire accidental, from a cooking fire. The American Red Cross is assisting four occupants of the house, though only two were home at the time of the fire.
