***A temporary peace order was filed against Jocori Scarborough Wednesday morning, stating that he shall not abuse, contact or enter the residence of the alleged victim, and that he must stay away from the school. A hearing date has been set for May 13th.

WICOMICO CO., Md. - A Parkside High School student, who is accused of raping another student, in a hallway on Monday, has been released on bond.

Officials at the Wicomico County Detention Center confirmed on Wednesday, that 17-year-old Jocori Scarborough, of Delmar, Maryland, was released after posting bond on Tuesday, around 6:00 PM. Scarborough, who is being charged as an adult, is facing a slew of charges, including first and second degree rape, kidnapping and molestation.

After word of the alleged incident spread on Tuesday, Parkside parents received an alert through ParentLink, that evening, stating the following, "This is Micah Stauffer, principal of Parkside High School. I'm calling to inform you that we are working with law enforcement on a serious issue involving the alleged rape of a student in the school earlier this week. A student has been charged and incarcerated, and this matter is in the hands of law enforcement. The safety and security of our students and staff is always our first priority and is constantly reviewed.  Please call the school office if you have any questions regarding this matter. Thank you."

School Officials would not comment on Wednesday morning whether or not Scarborough was back in school, only that all students in Wicomico County Schools were safe.

The Wicomico County Bureau of Investigations said Wednesday that the alleged incident happened at a time when students were supposed to be in class and also in an area of the school not captured on video surveillance.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact WBI at 410-548-4898 or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
