Posted: Updated:

MARYLAND - The 18,000 Marylanders who had trouble signing up for insurance on the state's health exchange before the open enrollment deadline, have all been contacted and assisted.

Officials say the Maryland Health Connection team helped 7,500 of those people enroll through the exchange, but it's unclear how many others have enrolled on their own.

According to the latest official count more than 66,000 Marylanders have signed up for health insurance and 263,000 have gained coverage through Medicaid.
