Stockton Man Indicted On Producing Child Pornography Charges

Posted: Updated:

BALTIMORE, Md. - A Worcester County man has been indicted, in Baltimore, on multiple child pornography charges.

According to a seven count indictment, returned on May 1st, 2014, 41-year-old Laiton Witkowski, of Stockton, produced images of child pornography involving two minor females in sexually explicit conduct, that were apparently taken without their knowledge. There were reportedly images of one victim sleeping, and the second victim using the restroom. The indictment also alleges that Witkowski then distributed and possessed other images of child pornography, including images of young children being sexually abused.

With the charges, Witkowski faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison for each of the two counts of production of child pornography, a minimum of five years for distribution of child pornography, and a maximum of 20 years in prison for each of the four counts of possession of child pornography.

Officials remind the public that an indictment is not a finding of guilt, individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty at some later criminal proceedings.

Witkowski was scheduled for an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Baltimore, on Monday afternoon.
