Couple In Stable Condition After Motorcycle Accident Near Felton

FELTON, Del. - A motorcycle crash is under investigation near Felton.

The incident occurred on Sunday around 1PM. Police say 51-year-old Timothy Moore of Seaford was traveling northbound on South DuPont Highway when a car, driven by 68-year-old Wyonia Hughes of Felton, failed to yield the right of way to while attempting to turn left from the crossover onto Canterbury Road. Moore struck the car on the passenger side, causing him and his wife to be ejected from the motorcycle.

The couple was transported to the hospital and are both listed in stable condition. According to investigators, neither were wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Hughes and her two passengers, a 7-year-old and 3-year-old, were also transported to the hospital and were treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hughes has been cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way at a Cross Over.
