SALISBURY, Md. - Steppers and dancers were making some noise at Salisbury University Sunday afternoon, raising money for a local program that helps elementary school kids become better students.

Students from Prince Street Elementary and SU performed in front of family and friends to help raise money for the school's "Nothin' But Net" basketball program, which teaches kids, 8 to 11 years-old, life skills beyond the court.

"It's a way to motivate our kids to be their best everyday," says Tana Ellis, Assistant Principal at Prince Street, "of course some of our children learn to make better choices and have self control, but the big thing I see is teamwork and confidence."

The money raised from today's step show will go toward end of the year awards for "Nothin' But Net."

The show was part of a project for SU marketing students.
