Former Leaders Back In WCEA After Court Hearing

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO CO., Md. - The legal battles continue for the Wicomico County Education Association.

According to WCEA's president, Kelly Stephenson, the board members won a temporary restraining order in court this week to regain leadership. This comes after they were reportedly wiped of their duties and access to WCEA's building, credit cards, and e-mail, and replaced with a group of interim managers.

According to the group's website, members felt that the leaders were going to dismantle the union by calling a vote to amend bylaws to no longer require state and national association membership.

A full hearing will reportedly happen on May 15th.
