Wicomico High Student Set To Beat Guinness World Record

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO CO., Md. - Dayquan Williams, a junior at Wicomico High School, set out to beat an all-time Guinness World Record for the most bedding plants planted in one hour.

Representing the horticulture program at his school, he planted 2,122 plants in 52 minutes, surpassing the old record of 2,020 plants in 60 minutes.

He says he didn't have any particular strategy, it was just a big race against time.

"It felt good. It's awesome. It's something to do, something to keep me focused on school and learn other new things," he said.

These results are unofficial. Guinness will have to verify everything before it officially hits the record books.
