LEWES, Del. - Police have reportedly arrested two men, in connection to a Love Creek home invasion. Delaware State Police say on Monday around 1:00 AM, Troopers responded to the 33000 block of Camilla Drive in Love Creek Mobile Home Park, in Lewes, after two suspects reportedly broke into a home, while armed with guns.

An investigation showed that two adults and a 4-year-old child were sleeping in a bedroom of the home, when two suspects dressed all in black with masks over their faces, kicked in the front door. Police say the suspects, one armed with a shotgun the other with a handgun, demanded drugs from the victims.

According to the report, the female victim, and the suspect armed with the shotgun, got into a physical confrontation, when the male victim intervened, pushing the suspect out the front door. Once outside, the shotgun was apparently discharged by the suspect, sending a bullet through the ceiling and roof of the home. The suspects then reportedly fled in an unknown direction. None of the victims in this incident were injured.

Police say through their interviews with the victims, they determined 24-year-old Nicholas Beardsley, and 26-year-old Matthias Kellner, both of Lewes, were established as suspects, because of a previous physical altercation that happened on April 26th, with the male victim. Beardsley was arrested on Cornflower Drive in Love Creek MHP, shortly after Troopers responded to the call, while Kellner turned himself in on April 30th.

Both were charged with home invasion, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, burglary 1st, three counts of reckless endangering 1st, two counts of aggravated menacing, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, and conspiracy 2nd. Beardsley and Kellner are being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on bond.
