Army Veteran Receives Dream Garden From Busch Gardens

Posted: Updated:

Salisbury, MD - Naomi Donohoe of Salisbury received a beautiful surprise today.  Busch Gardens awarded her a brand new lawn and garden!  She was selected as the winner of a nationwide contest.  The theme park's horticulture team has been out since early this morning, planting native, non-invasive plants and a fountain.  The lawn was designed to be self-sustaining and require minimal work.  Donahoe is a disabled army vet who also received a new lawn mower, which she says she never had before.

"Its beautiful! My daughter and I never sit on the front porch, but now we're going to be out there all the time," Naomi reacted.

If you want to revamp your yard, the Busch gardens team suggests using native plants, like phlox, milkweed, and cornflower.
