DOVER, Del. - Police in Dover say they are investigating three different robberies that all reportedly happened within a span of nine hours.

Dover Police say the first incident happened on Saturday, just before 6:25 PM, at Jolly Joe's Liquor Store, on White Oak Road. According to the report, a heavy set black female walked into the store, and handed a note to the cashier saying that she had a gun, and demanding money. The clerk apparently initially refused, but the suspect was able to open the register, and flee with an unknown amount of cash, in an older "rust colored" vehicle. The female suspect is described as heavy set, last seen wearing a black top, and a black stocking that partially covered her face.

The second incident apparently happened early Sunday morning, at just after 12:45 AM at the Relax Inn Hotel, on South DuPont Highway, where an older, faded red pick-up truck entered the parking lot and three suspects got out. Police say a female entered the foyer and put a handwritten note/envelope under the glass, which said "give me your cash and put it in this envelope." According to the report, the clerk refused, and the suspect started hitting the glass with a large metal pipe. The suspect eventually fled, with no money taken, and no injuries to the victim. The suspect was described by the clerk as a black female, 5' 2" -5' 3" tall, weighting 100-110 pounds, wearing all black, with black gloves, and a black stocking that only covered half of her face.

The final incident took place at the Days Inn Hotel, on North DuPont Highway, around 3:30 AM on Sunday. Police say a black female walked into the hotel lobby, and told the clerk that she had a gun, and to give her all the money from the register. The clerk apparently refused, at which point the suspect fled on foot from the hotel. Police say the suspect may have entered a vehicle parked at the Race Track Car Wash, next to the hotel. The suspect is described as a black female, possibly in her 30s, wearing a black stocking, black coat, dark pants, dark shoes, and pink gloves.

Police say at this time, they are still investigating the possibility of the three incidents being related to each other. They are asking anyone with information about any of the three incidents or suspects to contact Dover Police at 302-736-7111, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333, or the Tip Submit website.
