Worcester Co. Robotics Team Competes At World Finals

Posted: Updated:

WORCESTER CO., Md. - The Titanium Wrecks F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Team of Worcester County just wrapped up it's rookie season with an impressive finish at the World Finals.

The team placed 25th of out of the 100 teams in it's division. The high schoolers were holding on to 16th place right up until their final match, when technical issues struck their alliance team members.

Coach Paul Suplee tells 47 ABC that the team enjoyed the trip to St. Louis for the competition, where they met teams from across the country, and even spent time with one from Mexico.

They're already looking forward to their sophomore season, and would like a permanent build shop where they can build next year's robot.

So, if you'd like to help the relocate to a new location or if you'd like to become a mentor, check in with the team on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Titanium-Wrecks-Team-4945/131892170340495.
