Community Foundation Of The Eastern Shore Ranked Top 100

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore was recently ranked in the top 100, out of 700 community foundations in the country.

It made the 96th spot in the "most active grant maker category" after giving away $5.4 million in grants last year. It also ranked 84th in the "most gifts per capita category," with $6.2 million being donated to the foundation.

"It reflects the giving nature of the people here on the lower shore. It also speaks to the fact that we're very good in terms of giving away money. Our output, in other words, the number of grants that we provide, is really good and that's terrific," President & CEO of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore Doug Wilson said.

The foundation says it has a vision to give away $10 million a year by 2024.
