SU Students Hand Out 500 Roses As Random Acts Of Kindness

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Students from Salisbury University's Muslim Student Association handed out 500 roses to their peers, as a random act of kindness.

It's an effort to promote love, peace and unity, and to clear up any misconceptions about the religion of Islam on Prophet Muhammad Day.

"A lot of people are just very surprised. They don't come across this everyday. A lot of people ask, is it free? Everyone just really appreciates it," senior Syeda Jaffery said.

The group held an interfaith meet-and-greet at the school Thursday evening to answer any questions about the religion.
