REHOBOTH, Del. - Two people were arrested on Monday, after they apparently stole a purse from an elderly woman at a local outlet mall.

Delaware State Police say around 5:35 PM, a 77-year-old Millsboro woman was walking into a store at the Seaside Outlets in Rehoboth, when 36-year-old Jamie Queen, of Millsboro, apparently grabbed the woman's purse and ran into a waiting vehicle.

According to the report, that vehicle, a silver Chevrolet Cavalier, fled the scene, followed by a witness, who later lost sight of it. Police say a Trooper caught up with the Cavalier on John J. Williams Highway, and attempted to stop it, but it continued a mile before it finally pulled over. Queen, and the driver, 34-year-old Roger Spruce, of Baltimore, were taken into custody.

Police say during a search of the vehicle, they found the victim's purse, items taken from a purse stolen on April 19th, and drug paraphernalia. The license plate on the Cavalier had also reportedly been stolen.

Queen was charged with robbery first degree, and conspiracy second degree. She is being held at Baylor Women's Correctional Institute on $31,000 bail.

Spence was charged with robbery 1st degree, disregarding a police officer's signal, conspiracy second degree, 2 counts of receiving stolen property under $1,500, and 15 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at Sussex Correctional Institute on $36,453 bail.
