Traffic Stop In Worcester Co. Leads To Citations For Two

Posted: Updated:

WORCESTER CO., Md. - Two Millsboro men received citations, after a traffic stop in Worcester County.

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office says on Tuesday, around 8:15 AM, a Deputy pulled over a vehicle on Route 113 near Jarvis Road, after it was apparently found to be driving 78 miles per hour in a 55 MPH zone.

During the stop, Police say the passenger, 23-year-old Jabriel Walters, attempted to hide marijuana in his mouth. He was also reportedly wanted on a Bench Warrant for failure to appear in court. Walters was arrested on the bench warrant, and charged with possession of marijuana less than 10 grams, along with receiving a criminal citation, before he was released on his own Personal Recognizance.

The driver, 27-year-old Brian Gardner was given two warnings for other traffic citations, and a Maryland citation for his speed.
