Salisbury, MD - The Salisbury varsity boys lacrosse team traveled to take on cross town for Wicomico in a Bayside Conference matchup, coming away with a narrow victory 4-3. The Dragons were able to jump out to an early lead in the first quarter, before the Indians were there with the answer. Tied 1-1 headed to the second, Salisbury would again grab the lead and take a 3-1 advantage into the break.
Wicomico would cut the deficit to just one goal half way through the third, but the Dragons again would respond to regain a two score advantage. They would hold onto that lead through the fourth until the Indians were able to again trim it to just one goal, with under two minutes to play. The game would come down to the final seconds, and just before time expired, the Indians watched the potential game tying goal knock off the side bar no-good.
