End Of The Chicken Festival

Posted: Updated:

Georgetown, Del - The Delmarva Poultry Industry has announced that this will be the last year they will sponsor The Delmarva Chicken Festival.

The Chicken Festival is an event that dates all the way back to 1948. It was created to help promote growth in the chicken industry on Delmarva.

Delmarva's Poultry Industry, Executive Director, Bill Satterfield, told 47 ABC that it was a tough decision, but it's what's best for the company.

The 65th, and final, annual Chicken festival will be held from June 20 -21, at Queen Anne's County 4-H Park, in Centreville, Maryland.
