James Bennett Boys Lacrosse Coast Past Wicomico

Posted: Updated:

Salisbury, MD - The James Bennett boys lacrosse traveled to take on cross town conference foe Wicomico, and came away with a comfortable 16-3 win. The Clippers jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, finding the back of the net 5 times. That lead would stretch to 10-0 just four minutes left in the second quarter, as James Bennett appeared to be running on all cylinders.

To their credit, Wicomico would battle to the very end, and was able to find the back of the net just before half. The Clippers would take a 12-1 lead into the break, and keep up the pressure in the second half. The third quarter, like the first two, belonged to James Bennett. They would outscore the Indians 3-0 to take a 15-1 lead into the games final period. There Wicomico again showed their determination as they were finally able to find their offensive groove, adding a pair of goals.

But James Bennett's lead was too much to overcome, as they held on for the win.
