WORCESTER CO., Md. - The demand to keep kids safe at school is a continuing discussion nationwide.
In Worcester County, school officials are looking to upgrade their security system.
This week, the school board passed the second phase, which would upgrade existing fire alarm systems and security cameras at many schools in the district.
But before the project can move forward, they'll need approval from the county and the state.
Before the start of this school year, Worcester County Schools added buzz-in systems and security deputies at their schools.
