Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Police have released new information from their investigation into a Wednesday morning home invasion in Salisbury, that left one man dead, and another injured.

Maryland State Police say they are still searching for a suspect in the incident that happened around 1:00 AM on the 27,000 block of Pemberton Drive. Police describe that suspect as an African American male, believed to have been wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time of the crime.

According to the report, the injured victim called 911, and when Troopers arrived, they found him, and a 72-year-old Donald Mariner in the home. Mariner was pronounce dead at the scene, and the injured victim, who told Police he was attacked with a blunt object, was taken to the hospital. The two men were reportedly roommates.

Police say during their investigation they learned that Mariner's black Ford F150 pickup truck was stolen from the home, and may have been driving between 11:30 PM on Tuesday night and 1:45 AM on Wednesday. The truck was reportedly found abandoned on West Main Street, near the VFW, about two miles from the crime scene.

Anyone who may have seen the F150 between Pemberton Drive and West Main Street is asked to contact Police or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776. Crime Solvers is offering an up to $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment of the suspect. The
