DEWEY BEACH, Del. - Authorities say a fire in Dewey Beach that broke out on Wednesday has been ruled accidental.

According to the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office, the fire was reported around 2:20 PM Wednesday afternoon on Saulsbury Street. The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company and the Lewes and Indian River Fire Companies responded to battle the blaze.

Investigators say the fire was caused by an unspecified electrical malfunction on the front porch of the home. Reports say the occupants were home at the time of the fire, but officials say no injuries were reported.

Damages are estimated at $50,000.
