PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore introduced Bobby Collins Wednesday as it's newest men's head basketball coach. Over the course of his 12-year career, Coach Collins has already compiled 180 wins, three NCAA tournament appearances and two conference championships. He comes to UMES from Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina, where he was named head coach in 2006. Now he will be attempting to turn around a program that went six and 24 last season. He tells 47 ABC that it starts with bringing energy back to the program.

Collins says, "We got to start building an enthusiasm around campus. Instead of thinking about what happened last year, we want to talk about what's ahead of us and lets work hard today."

Coach Collins is expecting to hit the recruiting trail soon, looking to fill the three roster spots available for next season. UMES officials say Collins told the UMES search committee he expects his players to be "the hardest working team in the country," and to follow a strict code of conduct off the court.
