DOVER, Del. - About 300 members with the Delaware National Guard were welcomed home today.
Delaware State University hosted a ceremony for the 198th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, home after an active tour of duty in Afghanistan. The tour was reportedly scheduled for a year, but the soldiers were sent home in four different phases. Some of the soldiers reportedly came home four to five months early.
According to reports, the battalion's duties included the support and management of four regional network control centers, theater-wide tactical communications support missions and enterprise-level help desk support.
