Cause Of Lewes House Fire Still Under Investigation

LEWES, Del. - A Thursday afternoon house fire, in Lewes, is under investigation.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says the blaze started just after 1:00 PM, on the 30000 block of Buttonwood Drive, in Edgewater Estates.

The Lewes Volunteer Fire Department responded, and with assistance from Milton and Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Companies, put out the flames.

State Fire Investigators say they are still determining where the fire started, and what caused the blaze.

There were reportedly no injuries. Damages are estimated at $50,000.
