Suspect Now In Custody After Alleged Robbery In Fruitland

FRUITLAND, Md. - A suspect is now in custody after an alleged armed robbery in Fruitland.

According to reports, officers responded to a stabbing in the area of Park Avenue and King Street around 6:00 PM on Wednesday night.

The victim reportedly told officers that the suspect, later identified as Tyler Gaskins, approached him in a car with a knife demanding money and some medication the victim reportedly had on his person.

After being dragged 50 yards, the victim reportedly was able to get away. He was able to give a description to police of Gaskin and his car.

Gaskin was eventually tracked down and taken into custody. He now faces multiple charges, including armed robbery and reckless endangerment.
