Four Arrested In West OC Motel Parking Lot Brawl

Posted: Updated:

WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. - Four people were arrested during an apparent fight at a local motel on Tuesday night.

Maryland State Police - Berlin say around 10:45 PM, Troopers responded to a 911 call at the Rambler Motel, where they found several subjects arguing. Troopers say they tried to quiet the subjects down, but two, a 17-year-old of West Ocean City, and 23-year-old Julio Mujuco, of Ocean City, were arrested, after they apparently failed to cooperate.

Police say they told the remaining subjects to return to their rooms, and stay quiet for the rest of the evening.

Around 20 minutes later, Troopers say they had to go back to the motel, when they got several more 911 calls about two individuals fighting in the parking lot. When they arrived on scene, Troopers arrested 21-year-old Caleb Schmitt and 21-year-old Tyler Shores, both of West Ocean City.

Police say all of the people arrested, except the juvenile, were extremely intoxicated. They were all released after being processed, and given citations for disorderly conduct. The juvenile was charged with juvenile charging document.
