Day Time Burglaries Under Investigation In Wicomico Co.

WICOMICO CO., Md. - Police are warning residents of Wicomico County, to double check their locked doors, after a slew of daytime burglaries.

The Wicomico Bureau of Investigations says they are currently looking into a series of burglaries that happened during the day, on March 31st, in the subdivisions of Nutters Crossing, Doe Run, Deer Harbour, Trace Hollow, and Fox Chase.

Investigators are asking for residents of that area, to assist in the investigation, by reporting any suspicious activity that they recall on or around March 31st, including anyone knocking on doors asking for money or assistance. Police say during the burglaries, jewelry, electronics, and other valuables were stolen. Investigators are asking residents of these neighborhoods to keep a close eye out for anyone who they are not familiar with, or who is going door to door without the proper identification or permits.

Police are also reminding everyone in the county to pay extra attention to locking and securing your home, even during the day and business hours, as this is when these recent incidents occurred.
