Convicted Sex Offender Facing New Charges In Worcester County

SNOW HILL, Md. - A convicted sex offender is facing new charges in Worcester County.

According to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Darryle Dennis Jr. of Pocomoke entered Snow Hill Elementary School on March 21st in an attempt to deliver his daughter balloons for her birthday.

When his identification was scanned through security, it revealed he was a known registered sex offender. Dennis was told to leave the property and he complied. However, this was the third time that he had entered the school during the current school year, which he is prohibited from doing as a condition of being a registered sex offender.
     
Police say charges have been filed.
