Walking To End MS - 47 ABC - Delmarva's Choice

Walking To End MS

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Hundreds showed up for the Maryland MS walk at the Salisbury Zoo Saturday.

47 ABC's Kody Leibowitz was there to MC the event, which works to raise money for research about the chronic disease.

Multiple Sclerosis attacks the central nervous system, and symptoms can range from tingling and numbness, to painful sensations, muscle weakness, and even paralysis.

We spoke to a walk ambassador about the importance of finding a cure.

"I guess in my mind, I think if they could find a cure for something like MS, they could possibly find a cure for other diseases and other auto immune diseases especially," says Sonja Warner, a walk ambassador, who's husband suffers from the disease.

Proceeds from the walk will go to research and support the nearly 10-thousand people in Maryland living with the disease.
