Hurlock Man Charged In 2009 Murder

Posted: Updated:

HURLOCK, Md. - A Hurlock man is behind bars in connection to an August 2009 murder. On Tuesday, 66-year-old William Stevens Hamilton, was arrested at his home on Williamsburg Church Road, for the murder of Craig Junior Parker.

The Grand Jury of Dorchester County handed down an indictment charging Hamilton with 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder, and 1st degree assault. Officials say they charges come after a long investigation by the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit into the August 2009 disappearance of Parker, who was an employee on Hamilton's farm.

Hamilton is currently being held without bond in the Dorchester County Detention Center pending trial. William H. Jones, State's Attorney for Dorchester County, reminds the public that an indictment is an allegation, that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
