EASTON, Md. - A local man is making his mark in a national fast-food ad campaign.
The campaign involves Taco Bell's new breakfast menu and dozens of men who share a name with the famous mascot of another chain
"My name is Ronald McDonald and I'm from Easton, Maryland," said Ronald F. McDonald in his appearance while holding an A.M. Crunchwrap.
47 ABC caught up with the 55-year-old who tells us he's an investment advisor by day, raising money for local students, by night.
So how did he get picked?
Well, McDonald says he got a call from a production company a few months back before trying out for a secretive project involving "people with famous names."
Then, he was flown out to Los Angeles to a surprise.
"[The production crew] said, 'introduce yourselves to the other guys as they get out of the cars,'" said McDonald. "I come to find out that everyone was Ronald McDonald and we thought 'oh something's up' and 'this is going to be fun.' I thought no matter what we're doing, this is going to be a blast doing it."
McDonald says he isn't the only one in his family with the same name as the famous mascot. Both his father and grandfather are also Ronald McDonald.
