Police Looking For Information After Onancock Shooting

ONANCOCK, Va. - Authorities in Accomack County, are looking for a suspect, after an apparent shooting on Wednesday.

The Accomack County Sheriff's Office says around 11:40 PM, they received reports of a person shot on Hill Street in Onancock. Both Sheriff's Deputies and Officers with the Onancock Police Department arrived on scene to find the victim, with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

The victim was rushed to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, before being transferred to another medical facility to receive additional medical treatment. Authorities say the victim is currently listed in stable condition, and further details will be released as they become available.

The Accomack County Sheriff's Office Investigative Division processed the crime scene. The Virginia State Police and the Onley Police Department also assisted in this incident.
