DOVER, Del. - A reported shooting is under investigation, in Dover, after a victim was apparently robbed.

Delaware State Police say they are looking for information, after a 34-year-old male walked into the Royal Farms on West Lebanon Road, bleeding from the head, saying he had been shot around 11:30 PM on Wednesday.

According to the report, the victim told responding Troopers, that he was driving on South State Street, near Moore's Lake, when a male subject dressed in all black crossed in front of his vehicle. Police say the victim rolled down his window, when the suspect walked up to the driver's side, armed with a handgun, and demanded money.

The victim apparently turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, but the suspect reportedly demanded more, which the victim couldn't provide, before the suspect fired his gun, grazing the victim's forehead, and then fled.

The victim was taken to Kent General Hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening wound, and later released.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. D. Coleman at 302-741-2817 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be submitted to the DSP Mobile Crime App, texting DSP to CRIMES (274637), or by visiting the TipSubmit website.
