SUSSEX CO., Md. - Three teenagers accused of car jacking and kidnapping an 89-year-old Lincoln woman last March, will be tried as adults.
On Monday, a Sussex County Superior denied the defense motion to transfer the charges against Rondaiges Harper, Junia McDonald, and Jackeline Perez, back to Family Court. This ruling means the three will be tried in Superior Court, as adults.
A Case Review in Superior Court, is the next step in the case, but no date has been set for that yet. A 4th co-defendant, Phillip Brewer, has already pleaded guilty in Superior Court, to one count each of carjacking 2nd degree, kidnapping 2nd degree, and conspiracy 2nd degree. He will be sentenced once the other three cases are wrapped up.
