Cape Henlopen Schools Set For Referendum

Posted: Updated:

LEWES, Del. - A week after residents denied a referendum for a new Milford middle school, another Delaware district is also looking for a brand-new institution.

Cape Henlopen School District is looking to build a new elementary school, along with adding six more classrooms at each of three middle schools.

The total project is expected to cost more than $30 million with a third of the costs from local taxpayers.

Residents can vote Wednesday, where polls open at 10 AM at Cape Henlopen High, Mariner Middle and Rehoboth Elementary.
