Man Charged In Connection To Sex Abuse Of A Minor In Greensboro

GREENSBORO, Md. - A Greensboro man is behind bars, after apparently sexually abusing a minor.

Greensboro Police say on March 20th, they started a joint investigation with the Caroline County Department of Social Service, having to do with the alleged sexual assault of a minor female, that reportedly happened around two years ago.

That investigation lead to the arrest of 30-year-old Corey Demetrius Gaines, who was then charged with 2 counts of sex abuse of a minor, child abuse, and 3rd degree sex offense. He is currently being held at the Caroline County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.

The Greensboro Police Department says they were assisted in the investigation by detectives from the Caroline County Sheriff's Department.
