Salisbury Preps For The Big Egg Hunt

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - It's almost that time of year again, the 2nd Downtown Salisbury Egg Hunt is just a few weeks away.

Sunday morning, folks spent a couple of hours stuffing nearly 20,000 plastic eggs with candy and coupons from local shops for the big day.

On the changes between this year and last, organizers say they plan to have a staggered start to make sure everyone gets in on the action.

While the free hunt is for fun, they do see it playing a larger role in Salisbury's rejuvenation.

"The biggest thing we wanted to see from this is just bringing people downtown.  So if all our place in this is just bringing mass quantities of people every year, then I think we do our job of bringing revitalization," says Derick Weaver, who's spearheading the hunt.

The Downtown Salisbury Egg Hunt is scheduled for April 12th from noon to 3:00 PM.

If you're interested in donating time, or eggs, send an email to EggHunt@RemedyChurch.ME.
