If you plan to be out and about this weekend, it will be a good idea to carry your umbrella with you. Though it may be a better weekend to stay inside and enjoy the rain from a window, or the couch!
An area of low pressure is currently in the south eastern United States, and tracks our way for the day tomorrow. Unfortunately, we are looking at a soaking rain that lasts through the entire day on Saturday and does not begin to taper off until during the day on Sunday.
The area of low pressure brings a cold front with it, but in advance of the cold front, there will be mild temperatures. All across the Mid-Atlantic, temperatures will be mild before the front passes through on Saturday night. For Delmarva, expect highs to reach the lower 60s in some spots. With the passage of the cold front on Saturday night, highs on Sunday will be much cooler, in the middle 50s.
Rain will begin to taper off on Sunday as an upper level low exits off of the coast on Sunday evening. Cumulative rain totals will be anywhere from 1-2 inches by the time this system exits on Sunday night. At least it's not snow!
