620,000 And Counting: Milford Students Celebrate Acts Of Kindness

Posted: Updated:

MILFORD, Del. - There's a saying: it takes a village to raise a child.

For Milford School District, it takes an entire school district to complete a million acts of kindness.

Dozens of students and teachers celebrated on Friday reaching the 620,000 mark, five months into their project to reach a million kind acts.

"My biggest act of kindness is going over to the nursing home at Genesis Healthcare in Milford," said eight grader Lisa Pierson.

Sixth grader Tierra Belle says she enjoys "helping people out and making them feel good about themselves."

"There's like a lot of kids that feel down and they need some lifting up," said Shelby Jones, 8th grade.

You can follow along as the students reach their goal of 1,000,000 acts of kindness through Twitter and Facebook.
