EASTON, Md. - An alleged shoplifter was arrested during a traffic stop in Talbot County.
Easton Police say they were called to Kohl's Department Store on Marlboro Road, where store police had a shoplifter in custody. On the way to the scene, Officers say they were notified that the alleged shoplifter was leaving.
Police were reportedly able to catch up with the suspect, 26-year-old Niesha Munson, of Chestertown, in her vehicle on Route 322, near North Washington Street.
Officials say Munson was seen on surveillance footage taking items from Kohl's, and concealing the items on herself. Police searched Munson, and reportedly found the stolen property.
Munson was arrested, charged with theft under $1,000, and released on her own Personal Recognizance pending trial.
