INDIAN RIVER, Del. - A local school district has announced they willed be extending the school year to make up for missed snow days.
On Monday, The Indian River Board of Education, approved changes to the district calendar, making the last day for students Tuesday, June 10th. The last day for teachers will now by Friday, June 13th.
This decision comes just a week after announcing they would be extending the school day by 30 minutes for the rest of the year, to help make up for the days.
The State Board of Education voted on March 20th, to forgive four of the district's eight missed weather days.
