Just because the calendar says spring, doesn't mean it will
feel like spring. This holds true for much of the Mid Atlantic and North East.
While we won't see much accumulation of snow on the peninsula, portions of the
North East are looking at snow and even blizzard conditions.
As the system exits our region on Tuesday night, it's
actually just getting its act together. It strengthens and intensifies off of
the coast and brings up to a foot of snow into coastal portions of the North
East. Strong winds will accompany the snow causing blowing snow and creating
difficult driving conditions.
So while the peninsula gets away with minimal amount of
accumulations, other portions of the east coast are being clobbered.
Fortunately, the forecast takes a turn for spring time this weekend. It looks
like this time, we can bid farewell to winter and set our sights on spring
