Delaware State Police Investigate Robbery Of Newark Exxon

NEWARK, Del. - Delaware State Police say they are investigating a robbery of the Exxon station at 4600 Ogletown Stanton Road that occurred yesterday evening.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 10:42 PM when a white male suspect entered the business and confronted the store employee, produced a handgun, and demanded money.  After removing money from the cash register, the suspect reportedly fled. Police say the employee was not injured in this incident.

The suspect is reportedly described as a white male, between 30 and 35 years of age, between 5'04" and 5'05" tall, medium build, wearing a tan hat and brown jacket.

Delaware State Police say they are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact the Robbery Unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 or by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
