Man Linked To Missing Girl Charged In Wife's Death

Posted: Updated:

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County Police have charged a man who authorities believe is traveling with a missing 8-year-old with his wife's slaying.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant Friday charging 51-year-old Kahlil Malik Tatum with murder in the death of his wife.

Fifty-one-year-old Andrea Denise Tatum was found dead in a motel room in Oxon Hill Thursday. Officers looking for Relisha Tenau Rudd, who was reported missing earlier this week, had gone to the motel at the advice of Washington police.

Prince George's police say Andrea Tatum sustained an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friday morning, police found the unoccupied truck described in an Amber Alert for Relisha parked in Chapel Oaks in Prince George's County.
