Dover Man Pleads Guilty In 2013 Murder

DOVER, Del. - More than a year after the crime, a Dover man has pleaded guilty to second degree murder. The incident happened February 1, 2013 at the Whatcoat Apartments.

Nathan McNeill, now 45, was charged with the shooting death of 18-year old Imeer Waddell of Dover. Witnesses said they were sitting on the steps of the building when a dark-colored vehicle drove by firing several shots at the group. Waddell was shot in the head and died later at the hospital.

McNeill's guilty plea to second degree murder and  possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony came Tuesday in Kent County Superior Court. He will serve a minimum of 25 years.
