Wicomico Co. Sheriff's Office Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

WICOMICO CO. Md. - The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says they coordinated a Sobriety Checkpoint and DUI Enforcement Initiative starting at 10:00 PM last night.

Officials say the WCSO was joined by troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury barrack and officers from the Salisbury and Fruitland Police Departments and the Maryland Natural Resources Police. A representative from Mothers Against Drunk Driving was reportedly present during the checkpoint phase of the operation.

Authorities say the following individuals were arrested for Driving Under the Influence during this initiative:

  1. Antonio Sebastian Chaney Jr., 25,  Salisbury, MD
  2. Taylor Avery Ahmay, 22, Salisbury, MD
  3. Randy Richard Perdue, 43, Millsboro, DE
  4. Matthew Thomas Hearne, 26, Parsonsburg, MD
  5. Michelle Maureen Bomyea, 26, Salisbury, MD
  6. Darin M. Kovach, 23, Salisbury, MD

Authorities say the following individuals were arrested Possession of CDS during this initiative:

  1. Female Juvenile, 16, Fruitland, MD
  2. Female Juvenile, 17, Salisbury, MD
  3. Male Juvenile, 17, Salisbury, MD
  4. Kisnell NMN Pierre, 18, Salisbury, MD

 

Authorities say the following individuals were also arrested:

  1. Mervin Burdette Henry, 25, Hurlock, MD – Arrested on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant issued following a violation of probation in a CDS Possession case.
  2. Dennis Ryan Messick, 27, Hebron – Arrested after he interfered with the arrest of Michelle Bomyea above and assaulted the arresting trooper.
