Mar-Va Theater More Than Half To Digital Upgrade Goal

POCOMOKE CITY, Md. - A local landmark, is more than halfway to their fundraising goal, and has plans for new equipment.

The Mar-Va Theater says so far they have raised $85,000 towards converting the space to a digital theater. The need a total of $130,000, but the money that they've acquired so far, has allowed them to put a down payment on the necessary equipment.

The upgrade process is expected to go on, throughout the month of March. Officials say that once the upgrades are completed, there will be a grand-reopening celebration.

At this time, the theater is still hosting fundraisers. The next two events are Cash Bingo at Captain's Cove Community Room, with proceeds going towards going digital! The events are on March 14 & March 28 with doors opening at 6 PM, bingo starts at 7 PM, $20 per book, $10 per additional book, and $1 per dabber.
